In my previous post, I promised to share with you the actual status of writing the book, HOW TO SHARI’AH-COMPLIANTLY INVEST IN THE PHILIPPINE STOCK MARKET: BEGINNER’S STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE, during the seventh week (May 16-19, 2022). I will also share with you what transpired during the eight week (May 23-31).
May 16 (Monday) – I was able to draft two pages of the book (pages 98-99).
May 17 (Tuesday) – Al-hamdulillah, I was also able to draft two more pages (pages 100-101).
May 18-19 (Wednesday-Thursday) – During these two days, I was on travel and I was not able to work on the book.
So, on the seventh week (May 16-19) of writing, I was only able to draft 4 pages of the book while the weekly target is 15 pages.
May 23 (Monday) – Before leaving for a two-day journey, I was able to find early morning time for drafting two pages of the book (pages 102-103).
May 24 (Tuesday) – I was not able to work on the book as I was then still on travel.
May 25 (Wednesday) – Again, I was not able to work on the book as I suffered from loose bowel movement (LBM).
May 26 (Thursday) – I decided to postpone working on the book because a few days earlier (May 22) I accepted Dr. Ryan Maboloc’s proposal for ElziStyle Bookshop to publish his most recent book, RADICAL DEMOCRACY IN THE TIME OF DUTERTE (https://amzn.to/3HeRbwE). I had to start the typesetting in order to catch up with the July target publication.
May 30-31 (Monday-Tuesday) – I had still been on travel since May 28 (Saturday) and I had to proceed with the typesetting and editing of Dr. Maboloc’s book.
In summary, for the seventh and eighth weeks, I was only able to draft 6 pages, as opposed to 30 pages target for 2 weeks.
In the next blog, insha’ Allah, I will share with you the continuation of initial drafting of the book, HOW TO SHARI’AH-COMPLIANTLY INVEST IN THE PHILIPPINE STOCK MARKET: BEGINNER’S STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE, by evaluating my performance during the second month (May 2022).
In particular, I will address the following evaluation questions:
* What milestones did I reach for this goal?
* How close am I to my goal?
* What brought me to my milestones?
* What roads turned out to be wrong ways?
* What better roads can I explore to get to my milestones?
