Post #9: 5TH WEEK OF WRITING AS DRAFTING

In my previous post, I promised to share with you the actual status of writing the book, HOW TO SHARI’AH-COMPLIANTLY INVEST IN THE PHILIPPINE STOCK MARKET: BEGINNER’S STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE, during the sixth week (May 9-12, 2022).

May 9 (Monday) – It was the National Elections day, and I was not able to engage in writing the book as it took me more than three hours to fall in line to enter the polling precinct (elementary school in the locality) in order to vote.

May 9-13 (Monday-Friday) – I actually enrolled in a short course on Advanced Technical Analysis for Stocks, Funds, and Investments, after finishing its prequel just last year.

May 9 (Monday) – After a quick refresher on the fundamental analysis, we the learners were introduced to drawing trendlines, support and resistance, market cycle, and types of orders.

May 10 (Tuesday) – On the second session, we are introduced first to common candlestick and chart patterns and then what is called the Danvas Box.

May 11 (Wednesday) – On the third session the third day, volume and moving averages converge/divergence (MACD) were discussed to us.

May 12 (Thursday) – On the fourth and penultimate session, we had the hardtime learning the Relative Strength Index (RSI), Fibonacci Retracement Levels, Risk Management, Tranching and Journaling, before reporting on the last session (May 13).

In sum, during the sixth week of writing (May 9-13), I was not able to devote time for writing the book because of the short course on advanced technical analysis.

In the next blog, insha’ Allah, I will share with you the continuation of the initial drafting of the book, HOW TO SHARI’AH-COMPLIANTLY INVEST IN THE PHILIPPINE STOCK MARKET: BEGINNER’S STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE, during the seventh week of writing (May 16-19, 2022).
